BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) — The victim in a weekend stabbing in downtown Boise has died, police said Wednesday.
The Ada County Coroner's office identified the man as Daviel Ruiz-Gomez of Meridian
Boise PD says Jesus M. Garcia, 24, of Nampa, has been charged with second-degree murder, among other charges.
The stabbing took place at about 1:40 a.m. Saturday near 6th and Main at China Blue. The coroner says Ruiz-Gomez was on life support until Tuesday and died from multiple stab wounds.
The family has started a GoFundMe page to help with medical expenses.
A second victim was treated and released from the hospital.
Garcia was identified by witnesses the night of the crime. Police found methamphetamine on Garcia and took him into custody. They later found evidence connecting Garcia to the stabbings. He was charged with second-degree murder, aggravated battery, possession of a controlled substance, and probation violation.
