Shut the f**k up! Will Compton BASHES a fan for questioning his credibility over a viral 2016

July 2024 · 3 minute read

Former Washington Redskins (now Commanders) linebacker, Will Compton recently made a public appearance during UFC 290, wherein he met former United States President Donald Trump. The Bussin with the Boys podcast host had a brief meeting with Trump during the event. He shook hands with Trump, who was heard saying a few words to Compton and his co-host Taylor Lewan.

Although Trump failed to recognize Compton at first, he immediately did so after being informed about his National Football League connection. This particular meet, however, struck a chord among one of Compton’s followers on Twitter, who recalled an infamous 2016 tweet made by the footballer himself.

In the tweet, Compton criticized Donald Trump for his lack of leadership qualities at the time. The Republican candidate was trying to gain the nation’s support, in his bid to get elected as the President contesting the position against his Democratic party candidate, Hillary Clinton.

Will Compton made a series of tweets against Donald Trump back in 2016

Compton took to his Twitter account and wrote, “I’m officially off the Trump bandwagon. Thought I wanted him for the longest. Has yet 2 show an ounce of leadership or any quality character.”

Seven years later, a fan named “Special Jay,” retweeted Compton’s tweet seeking an explanation from the 33-year-old in context to his recent meeting with the former US President. While footballers generally tend to ignore such tweets from fans, Will Compton took the lesser-traveled route and answered him back in a ruthless manner through an Instagram video.

“Explain what? A tweet from 2016? Come here. Come here. You lucky that thing didn’t come more correct. Do me a favor and shut the f**kup. Ahh, F**k Have a good week. ‘Bout to go hit (the)weight room. Bring out the weight room,” Compton said angrily on Instagram.

Compton’s political allegiances may or may not have changed over the past seven years, but the footballer had posted a series of tweets against Donald Trump. He had also claimed that he wasn’t a “Democrat” in another tweet made before the elections in 2016.

Will Compton is currently a free agent. He was last associated with the NFL as a player during the 2021/22 season when he had signed for the Las Vegas Raiders‘ practice team before eventually being cut off a month later.
