MURFREESBORO, TN (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – A Tennessee man who plotted to kill his ex-wife, a prosecuting attorney and country music singer Travis Tritt was sentenced last week to more than 35 years in prison.

According to the Tennessean, Parley Drew Hardman, who was convicted in 2003 for soliciting interstate stalking with intent to cause death, solicitation of murder for hire and consipiracy to commit interstate stalking against his ex-wife, reported hired a fellow inmate, Marvin Droznek, to kill the woman. When he could not afford Droznek’s initial asking price, he changed his plot to include breaking his ex-wife’s legs so she could never dance again and killing her dog.

The would-be hit man instead took the plot to the police, who set up a fake attack to convince Hardman that his wife had been brutally beaten. Upon hearing that his wife was hit so hard that a 2-by-4 splintered, he called for the man to kill Tritt, stating that he wanted the singer “buried, killed.”

Hardman was convicted last year on charges of plotting to kill an assistant U.S. attorney and two witnesses.

Tritt was reportedly shocked upon hearing of the man’s plot. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
