Boise, ID — Crush the Curve Idaho (CTCI) a group originally formed in April 2020 to aid in the fight against Covid-19, by providing a central hub for Idahoans to find information about covid-19 and the resources to combat it.
Crush the Curve Idaho has a new initiative to fill in the gaps in the mental health crisis in Idaho that came to light during the pandemic. CTCI has rolled out its Mental Health Directory to provide people with information and resources such as treatment centers, therapy offerings, financial aid options, and more.
CTCI started this initiative called IdaHope after meeting with local support groups, state employees, care providers, and mental health organizations and found that making this information readily available to Idahoans is paramount in aiding in the mental health crisis.
"We helped crush the curve during the Covid-19 pandemic by bridging the information gap. We created a central place where Idahoans could access easy-to-understand information about a complicated topic and look up Covid-services in their community. We plan on bringing these same proven methods to the current crisis Idaho is facing. Our tagline, IdaHope, says it all - our hope is that through our efforts here, CTCI can help even just one person feel more supported, educated, and less alone during their time of need." - Dr. Tommy Ahlquist, CTCI Founding Board Member
The directory is completely free and anonymous and available in both English and Spanish will undergo updates to ensure information and resources are kept up to date. CTCI's mission is to bolster public health decisions made by elected officials, organizations, and individuals through access to information and available resources.
