BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — Critical patients will stay at the Boise VA Medical Center after a power scare Friday night.
Crews responded to the Boise VA Medical Center for a fire. Once they arrived, they found smoke coming from the building.
The Boise Fire Department said they initially saw smoke from the third floor. It turned out to be a compressor that seized.
This tripped a breaker causing power to go out in part of the building. BFD had additional ambulances on stand by and were coordinating with local hospitals in case patients need to be transported.
Patients did not need to be evacuated.
Ada County dispatch said the call came in at 8:19 p.m.
BFD and Ada County Paramedics are responding.
